In rural villages of Bulgaria you must not take for granted that every house has a road connection, public water supply, electricity or mains sewage. Especially in houses not having been habituated for some time you may find that some of the infrastructure is missing. However, in most cases it is only a question of modest payments to get a functioning road or electricity. The country has in principle sufficient water, but the reservoirs and pipes may be missing in some areas. A mains sewage system can be found only in the more important towns and villages, but is planned everywhere in the near future.
