Often properties are sold, both in Bulgaria and other tourist countries, with the vendor promising interesting rental income or even giving rental guarantees. The promises or guarantees have rarely come true. If you are given rental promises, ask for a guarantee. If you are given a guarantee, find out about the following:

• Has the rental guaranteed for a limited period (3 years) been baked into the sales price for the property?
• If the guarantee is given by another company than the sales/promotion company, what is the share capital of this company?
